Crockpot Congressional Bean Soup

1 lb small white beans
8 cups water
2 cups diced ham
1 cup onion, diced
1 cup celery, diced
2 TBS chopped parsley
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 bay leaf

Assemble ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low setting about 8 hours or until beans are tender.
